Location: Egypt / Remote (Preference for Cairo, but open to candidates across MENA and Europe). Note that you will need to work evenings 2-3 days per week to coordinate with our cofounders who are in Silicon Valley.

Role Overview: We are looking for a hands-on Director of Product to take our platform to the next level. As a key leader in our team, you will drive the product strategy, vision, and execution of our core offerings. This is an opportunity to shape a platform that blends career advancement, community engagement, and upskilling for tech talent in MENA. You will work closely with our founding team, engineering, design, and community leads to build an innovative, user-focused product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate a clear product vision aligned with Manara’s mission, focusing on user needs, market trends, and strategic goals.
  • Data-Driven Product Development: Collaborate closely with data analytics teams to leverage user data, behavioral insights, and performance metrics to inform product decisions. Develop a strong data culture within the product team.
  • Execution & Delivery: Collaborate with engineering, design, and data teams to ensure timely and high-quality product launches. Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and iteration.
  • User-Centered Design and User research: Champion a user-focused approach, leveraging research, feedback, and data analytics to inform product decisions. Understand the unique needs of MENA tech talent and design solutions that meet these needs.
  • Leadership & Team Building: Build and manage a high-performing product team. Mentor junior product managers, designers, and analysts and foster a collaborative culture across departments.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the key liaison between the product team and stakeholders, effectively communicating product updates, challenges, and successes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 7+ years in product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience with EdTech, social networks, or talent platforms is a strong plus.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficient in using analytics, user feedback, and A/B testing to make informed product decisions.
  • Strong Communication: worked for a remote or US-based company before and excels in async communications.
  • Remote Work Savvy: Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones, leveraging async communication tools effectively.
